- Two (2) Passport type photograph
- Non-US
citizens (please
see "note section" listed below for
visa exempt nationality) -
Original proof of present
immigration status in the U.S. (H1B, I-20, Green
Card or other). Applicant will need to prove his/her
ability to return to the U.S.
- Copy of complete round-trip ticket(s)
or confirmed itinerary showing exact dates of
travel to Iceland.
- Proof of sufficient funds. (e.g.
copies of bank statements, pay stubs, or proof
of employment)
- Proof of travel/health/accident
insurance covering international travel.
- A letter from your employer/school
(on business letterhead, with contact details),
stating that a leave of absence has been granted
and that you will be returning to your current
job. If you are self-employed, include a copy
of your business license and tax return. If you
are retired please submit proof of your retirement
fund.
- Copy of confirmed hotel reservations
OR Copy of an invitation letter
from family or friends in Ireland
- A personal letter from the
applicant addressed to the Embassy of Ireland,
explaining the purpose of the trip, dates of travel,
and cities to be visited.

A person in possession of a Hong Kong certificate
of identity requires an entry visa for the State.
- Persons who are holders of a British
Hong Kong Passport who have a right of abode in
Great Britain do not require entry visas.
- Persons who are holders of a British
Hong Kong Passport who have a right of abode in
Hong Kong only do not require entry visas but they
are subject to full foreign national controls in
respect of registration, permission to remain, work
permits etc.
- Please be advised that
the Ireland Embassy may extend the processing time
at their discretion (Additional documents and an
interview may be requested)
- Be advised that approval
may be required for certain nationalities, and that
approval may extend the processing time by several
weeks.
